You Are Not Powerless: Natural Support is Available for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

This story is about the importance of taking charge of your own health.

I'll never forget sitting in a colonoscopy clinic room waiting for my own consult when I overheard a doctor in the hallway speaking with a young woman who had just been given an inflammatory bowel disease diagnosis (IBD; it was either Crohn's Disease or Ulcerative Colitis). It went something like this:

"Is there anything I can do with my diet, or anything I can take that will help?"

"No. There's nothing you can do [...]"

My heart sank for her. She had just learned she was facing a life-changing diagnosis, and the message she seemed to receive was that diet and lifestyle couldn't help - that her health was out of her hands.

As a homeopath, I see things differently. There is so much you can do to support gut health and your overall health. Homeopaths have been caring for people with digestive complaints for hundreds of years, always looking beyond the diagnosis to support the whole person.

You may not be able to control every illness, but you can influence how well your body functions, heals, and adapts. Your daily choices matter, and you are never without options.
